Simulated Combat Group, Tanker Regiments
During 2017, SCG assembled a panzer unit for “Tank Crew”. We recreate as best we can the historical tactics and combat environments that help us cross the void of time and peer out into the vast expanses of Europe and Russia through our visor slits. Our members are serious WWII buffs who want to do more than just read about those battles.
Our panzer regiment utilizes a modified “Dead is Dead” combat system somewhat akin to our Air Wing. SCG is known for recreating mission strategic planning and briefings, in addition to strict after action reporting. Mission success is important, but staying alive is … don’t tell that Nazi bastard over there … MORE IMPORTANT!
Our Kompanie Kommander, SCG_JudgeDeath, has real world military experience leading a unit utilizing many of the tactical and strategic skills that were so important in WWII combat. He is also an IL-2 Tank Crew beta tester and provides that community valuable feedback which has helped “Tank Crew” to evolve into the best online WWII tank simulation available.

9th Kompanie, III Abteilung Großdeutschland Division is comprised of several 4-tank platoons, with an additional 2 tanks assigned to the Kompanie level. However, you can frequently find us in Allied tanks as well.
